Ankylosaurus Dinosaur Craft

This is a simple an cute dinosaur craft I did using a paper bowl as the base. The inspiration comes from a similar paper bowl turtle craft.

Materials:
  • paper bowl
  • brown paint
  • orange and brown construction paper
  • white glue
  • 1 acorn
  • tape
  • scissors

Directions:

  1. Beforehand, paint the bottom of a paper bowl completely brown. Allow to dry.
  2. From orange construction paper, cut lots of little triangles for ankylosaurus' spikes. Also cut a head, a triangle with 2 more small triangles sticking out on the sides to make 4 little horns for the face.
  3. From brown construction paper, cut a long, triangular shaped tail with an oval shape at the end for a club. Also cut out 4 simple, elephant like feet. Don't forget to draw little toes.
  4. Tape the fet and tail to the inside of the paper bowl, so they stick out the sides.
  5. Glue the little triangles in three rows going down the back and also sticking out along the rim on both sides.
  6. Draw a face on the head and glue to the front.
  7. Use white glue to attach an acorn to the oval club tail for a 3D touch.

I originally envisioned using sunflower seeds down the back instead of paper triangles. I also thought of using acorn top all over the back for armour. Let your imagination go.
